Based up south in France, Cathedrale thrives well on the hustle-bustle of the city. Their hometown Toulouse is most famous for the pink bricks but the youthful quatuor are making quickly name on their own. Ave ! The Sound, rock’n’roll record label based in Marseille, picked them up and released in 2016 their official debut EP on a beautiful 7 inch. Cathedrale crossed France like an inevitable blizzard from the south. Audience at festivals like Bikini Fest, Not Now !No way !, This is not a love song, were struck by their intensive and threat full shows.
Hailed as being one of the most exciting new underground bands, they returned to the heat to write new material. 2017 marks the release of their debut album « Total rift » thanks to Juvenile Delinquent Records, Nantes based punk record label. 2018 an other thrilling year for the band with the release of ‘Facing Death’, the second album from the band.
All the albums were recorded and produced at Swampland with Lo’ Spider. Facing Death is out on Howlin’ Banana records and Juvenile Delinquent, with daring garage, post-punk and pop songs with great hooks, quickly drew the attention of the international press like Louder Than War, Brooklyn Vegan, Rolling Stone, that were all together alined to make reviews full of exiting compliments. Cathedrale is now preparing other songs, other tours and a third album ‘Houses are built the same’, to be out in 2020
